The Revolution Bass Replica

This is our reissue Hofner Cavern bass modified to resemble the mods Paul McCartney had done to his first 1961 Hofner bass. He used his bass as a backup on their early 60s tours and famously on the video of their song ‘Revolution’. Ours plays and sounds exceptional with a very deep bass sound and a neck that is a bit larger than the later 60s reissues.
 

I built the custom designed pickup surround and had my friend Dan Johnson do this exceptional finish work. This is our second Revolution conversion bass.

The first one was stolen and fraudulently sold as Paul’s original! Unfortunately it has not been returned to us as Paul’s original bass was returned to him.
